A local, family-owned independent business, we began our journey in 2013, won the Seafish award for Northern Ireland’s Fish and Chip Shop of the Year in 2015, and in 2018 were voted the UK’s healthiest and most sustainable Fish and Chip restaurant and takeaway. Tables set for service in our stately Fisherman’s Cabin, a calm, intimate, contemporary setting for you and yours to enjoy delicious food and drink in style.

Fish City's iconic muraled sea blue façade, with awning over the Terrace, one of Belfast city centre's premier al fresco dining spots on pedestrianised Ann Street.

Pan roast Irish sea trout and County Down cockles, on herb potato with samphire, salsa verde and trout caviar.

Fish City's award-winning fish and chips: a lightly battered fillet of MSC-certified sustainably sourced wild Atlantic cod, home-cut chips, with lemon, house tartare and mushy peas.

In the Fisherman's Cabin is a gorgeous reclaimed wooden Victorian bar from one of the old Lavery pubs. The bar is fully stocked with the finest Northern Irish spirits, including Bushmills Whiskey and Jawbox Classic Dry Gin, in addition to well-known

We source all our fish responsibly

At Fish City, we are committed to responsibly sourcing the seafood in every dish on our menu. All of our cod, haddock, and hake are Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified sustainably sourced from well-managed wild fisheries. All other species of fish we serve are responsibly sourced. We ensure full food traceability, working with local food and drink producers wherever possible, to offer guests a menu that is flavoursome, healthy and less impactful on the environment.
