On the Sunday the 12th of November, the NFFF Annual General Meeting took place in which Malachy Mallon stepped down from his role as Regional Director of Northern Ireland. To take his place, we are proud to announce that John Lavery, Fish City will be the new Regional Director of Northern Ireland.

Rockfish and Fish City in Double Wins for Seafood Sustainability. Belfast fish and chip restaurant Fish City and Southwest seafood business Rockfish both won double recently at the Marine Stewardship Council's annual UK Awards, honouring achievements in sustainable seafood which was attended by Publishing Editor Austen Dack.

The Norwegian Seafood Council, proudly representing Seafood from Norway, has welcomed the UK’s leading fish and chip shops to the western shores of Norway as part of an educational study trip to showcase cod and haddock – two of the most popular species used by British fish and chip shops – and demonstrate why Norway is credited as a leading whitefish nation.

Fish City marked the occasion of National Fish and Chip Day on the 2nd June 2023 with a fundraiser for the local volunteer-led community organisation Team HAVEN, which provides outreach and hot meals for the homeless, vulnerable and those experiencing food poverty in Belfast and the surrounding areas.
